6 Amazing Benefits of Skin Icing

Skin icing is a popular beauty ritual for many people. The treatment is wildly popular at beauty salons thanks to its incredible benefits. With skin icing, you can prevent wrinkles, fight acne and blemishes, improve the blood flow to the skin and refresh your facial skin.

Here are the best benefits of skin icing:

Smooth skin

Our pores are often clogged by excess sebum and oil which enlarge them and make your face look rough. However, skin icing can tighten and shrink the pores, effectively making your skin smooth and healthy.

Pore primer

Icing your face before applying makeup will shrink your pores and help the foundation look perfect.

Improves circulation

As we mentioned previously, skin icing improves the circulation, letting less blood to the skin surface which works great against inflammation and swelling.

Great for puffy eyes

In order to reduce the bags under your eyes, try the skin icing technique and you will be amazed by the results.

Wrinkle buster

Skin icing can reduce the first wrinkle signs and prevent the formation of new wrinkles.

Controls blemishes

Using skin icing regularly will soothe inflammation and swelling on your face, which makes it a great remedy for pimples or blemishes. Once a new pimple appears on your skin, apply an ice cube directly on it to stop the inflammation. Hold the ice cube on the pimple for a few seconds, and use the same method on any affected area to reduce the size and number of your blemishes.

Here’s how to use the technique:

Wash your face thoroughly first, then wrap and ice cube in a gauze or some soft cloth. Apply the ice “pack” on the affected area for a minute or two, and move the ice gently in circular motion on your face. Pay special attention to the jaw line, cheeks and especially under the nose. Finish the process by applying a moisturizer or acne cream.

Note: if you’re not wrapping the ice cube in a cloth, wear gloves to avoid damaging your skin. When using a bare ice cube, don’t apply it directly from the freezer – give it a couple of minutes so it starts melting.

Avoid using the technique if you have broken capillaries, and remember – the icing shouldn’t be applied for more than 15 minutes. Add some lemon, rosewater, green tea, cucumber, chamomile tea or other herbs for even better results.
