6 Habits Of Effective Critical Thinkers You Must Learn And Imbibe

Albert Einstein's critical thinking skills led him to create Theory of General Relativity. Charles Darwin's critical thinking ended up in the theory of evolution. Edwin Hubble discovered galaxies beyond the Milky Way by analyzing little more than everyone else.

Success has always had a connection with critical thinking. Geniuses possess a completely different view of the world around and that is how they become part of world history. You can also improve your critical thinking skills by doing what critical thinkers do.

1.Never judge

While masses jump to conclusions, highly critical thinkers do not form a judgement, especially when there is a dearth of facts. So, the first step to critical thinking is staying away from judgements. Always keep yourself open to new arguments.

2.Stay curious

Highly critical thinkers are always curious about things around. They keep the child in them always alive. Be inquisitive about everything around. Sometimes, even simple things around you can help you discover bigger things.

3.See the bigger picture

Critical thinkers always look at the bigger picture. "They know that one mistake or misstep doesn't determine their destiny. They can also see alternatives to a situation and problem solve accordingly," says Kristin Meekhof, writer and author of the book, A Widow's Guide to Healing.

4.Find out alternatives

Highly critical thinkers always look out for more options. "They are able to generate alternate solutions. They understand what they can and can't change, so they don't attempt to influence situations that are immobile. This avoids frustration and anger," says Meekhof. When you have various solutions, you don't analyse too much into what went wrong. You immediately look at what can be done.

5.Believe in yourself

Critical thinkers know they will succeed. They visualize success in every step. So, believe in yourself. Your mind should communicate success all the time. You should believe in your abilities.

6Stay objective

Critical thinkers have the ability to remain objective. You should chalk out your goal and shouldn't let anything cloud your path to success.
