5. Make Small Goals
If you have a big goal, split it up into smaller resolutions. Remember that everything will add up over time. It also helps that little goals are more doable than big ones. As you tackle each one, you’ll fuel the motivation to keep on going. Having one big goal will just place a lot of pressure on yourself. Avoid this by starting small and keeping it realistic.
6. Reward Yourself
Whenever you complete a goal, treat yourself. This can be anything from a new exercise headband to a frozen yogurt dessert. Or maybe give yourself a day off to do whatever you want. Stay organized by keeping a list of rewards for each set of tasks. The more you achieve, the better the reward.
7. Use Social Media
Social media can help if you use it in the right way. Take some time to read about people’s achievements on blogs, social media, and magazines. Ask questions in the comments section. Discuss tips and tricks with people on message boards. You can even use hashtags to connect with individuals that have similar goals.
But most importantly, be patient with yourself. Developing healthy habits takes time. It will take a few tries to find out what works for you. But it will be worth it!
