Abu Dhabi Develops New Model To Accurately Estimate Biological Age

Measuring Health Beyond Chronological Years

Abu Dhabi is developing an innovative new model to assess human health. The model helps people understand their true biological age rather than chronological years. The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre partnered with health technology company Ultrahuman Healthcare. They aim to develop and validate a comprehensive Biological Health Age model. This model combines standard clinical biomarker information with data collected from wearable devices. The initiative examines cardiovascular health, sleep patterns, metabolic rates, and physical recovery. This approach provides a much broader picture of how a person’s body actually ages. Chronological age simply measures the total years passed since birth.

Personalizing Preventive Healthcare

Biological health age considers multiple indicators showing whether the body ages faster or slower. The model combines continuous health data from wearable devices with clinical lab measurements. This combination generates highly personalized insights for individual patients. ADPHC states the information could support earlier medical intervention and targeted prevention strategies. Doctors can provide personalized lifestyle recommendations based on precise biological data. The partnership will run for two years, including joint scientific research and clinical validation. Dr. Rashed Obaid Alsuwaidi serves as the Director General of ADPHC. He stated the collaboration supports a massive shift towards proactive, preventive public health.

Integrating Wearable Technology

"Understanding how populations age is an essential component of that transition," he explained. Mohit Kumar serves as the founder and chief executive of Ultrahuman Healthcare. He noted the project combines continuous monitoring with Abu Dhabi’s advanced healthcare infrastructure. The model remains in the active development and validation phase currently. ADPHC has not announced when the tool might become available to the general public. Wearable technology continues to transform how medical professionals track patient wellness globally.
