PureHealth Invests Dh41 Million In UAE Community Health Initiatives

Expanding Corporate Social Responsibility

UAE healthcare group PureHealth released its latest Sustainability and Social Impact Report today. The group spent Dh41 million on various community initiatives throughout 2025. These vital programs reached approximately 473,000 people across its UAE and UK operations. The number of people benefiting from these programmes increased by 116 percent. The number of dedicated volunteers also rose by 88 percent to nearly 9,000 individuals. PureHealth retained the highest possible AAA environmental, social, and governance rating from MSCI. The group scored approximately 30 percent above the global healthcare industry average. PureHealth also pledged a massive Dh50 million to the Life Endowment campaign.

Supporting Vulnerable Patients

Awqaf Abu Dhabi launched this campaign in partnership with the Department of Health. The initiative supports medical treatment for vulnerable patients living with complex chronic diseases. The group also continued developing the PureHeroes national healthcare volunteering platform. PureHealth reported an 11 percent reduction in its direct greenhouse gas emissions in 2025. The group introduced its first on-site solar installation at SEHA Medical City. The installation generated more than 1,000 megawatt-hours of clean electricity. It helped the hospital avoid approximately 330 tonnes of harmful carbon emissions. Around 3,000 tonnes of medical and general waste were also recycled during the year.

Investing In Emirati Talent

The report highlighted the group’s intense efforts to develop its national workforce. Employees completed approximately 834,000 hours of professional training during 2025. PureHealth currently employs nearly 5,300 Emiratis across its various medical facilities. One hundred and forty-six participants graduated from its Emirati Development Centre during the year. Shaista Asif serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth. She noted the company’s responsibilities extend far beyond providing basic healthcare services.
