Israel Issues Evacuation Orders Amid Lebanon Peace Talks

The Israeli military issued urgent evacuation warnings in southern Lebanon today. Officials ordered residents of five villages near Tyre to leave immediately.

Escalating Border Clashes

The military claims Hezbollah violated the current ceasefire agreement. An army spokesman demanded civilians stay at least one thousand meters away. Israeli forces quickly launched aggressive strikes against Hezbollah targets across the region.

Hezbollah militants retaliated by launching an explosive drone into Israeli territory. The military confirmed this drone strike injured several Israeli civilians today.

Holding Peace Talks in Washington

These violent border clashes happen during active diplomatic negotiations. Israeli and Lebanese representatives currently meet in Washington. They want to extend the expiring ceasefire agreement.

A senior United States official called the first day of talks highly positive. The productive meetings lasted for eight hours on Thursday. Both sides look forward to continuing these vital discussions today.
