03. WiFi Theft

Hacking into or using someone’s WiFi falls under the purview of the Computer Crimes Chapter of the Penal Code of Qatar. Article 375 stipulates penalties varying from 3 months-5 years imprisonment and fines ranging from QR3000 to QR20000. 

 

04. Drunk Driving

There is a zero-tolerance policy on drunk driving in Qatar, which means that the legal limit is 0.0 mg. Drivers who are found to have any alcohol in their system when breathalysed are heavily fined between QR 10,000 and QR 50,000, and there is a high chance of a jail sentence of a minimum of one month and maximum of three years followed by deportation from the country. Really not worth it.
