Twinkle Khanna, Trolled For Sitting On Books, Has A Message For The 'Easily Outraged'

Twinkle Khanna's latest photoshoot for Vogue India came under the Internet's scrutiny. The actress-turned-author is seen sitting on a pile of books with one of her foot resting on a stool (which Twitter thought was another stack of books). The internet was outraged and condemned her pose but Twinkle soon clarified that her foot is on a stool and not a book. After comments like "such a shame to sit on the books with footwear" flooded the picture she tweeted on Tuesday, Twinkle shared the same picture on Instagram and wrote in caption: "I have no qualms with sitting on books, sleeping next to them or even keeping a pile in the bathroom to read regularly-The God of Wisdom visits you when you read books not worship them."

winkle Khanna is the author of two bestsellers - Mrs FunnyBones (a compilation of humour columns) and The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad. Before she became an author Twinkle was an actress and has featured in films like Jab Pyaar Kissi Se Hota Hai with Salman Khan, Mela with Aamir Khan and Baadshah with Shah Rukh Khan.

Twinkle has produced several film via Akshay Kumar's Grazing Goats Pictures and has now opened her own production firm named Mrs Funnybones Movies. Her first film as producer will be R Balki-directed Padman, starring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte.

Twinkle Khanna, daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, is married to Akshay Kumar. They are parents to 15-year-old Aarav and 5-year-old Nitara.
