Stepping out of the Spiderman fantasies, eagerly waiting to get bit by a radioactive spider; will surely be challenging. College life is indeed going to be a life changing journey, where you are young, almost broke and still learning about business.

You can start off your unique journey of creating something of your own in your early twenties. 

1. Exercise your brains; there is no hurry 
It is never too early or too late to become your own boss. So don't take decisions in haste. 
Nurturing your business idea is akin to asking out your beloved, for a date. A number of thoughts, efforts, dedication and time anticipated to be invested in securing something which is yours, would surely be immense. 
The key rule is to take it slow. Think, think and then think a little more about your business idea. You already have it in you, what it takes to make it big. 

Answer these questions for yourself 
⦁ Do you enjoy doing it? 
⦁ Is it worth investing your money in it? 
⦁ Is there a sink of your heart, mind and gut, with the idea proposed? 

Nothing is perfect from day one; your business idea is like a chunk of coal, which when exposed to pressure will turn it into a diamond. 
It requires a lot of hard work and deep thoughts to craft out various delicacies of your eureka moment. Just follow your passion and believe in your instinct of the idea. 

2.Make Connections at the Growing Stage 
Be open to suggestions. Seek out for seasoned professional to help upfront. They will be glad to guide your vision. Most of them would get a flashback of their college days. 

The point of contention is to start networking from college years itself. It is the right age to socialise, make friends and get mentors. These people will eventually assist or aid to start off your own business. 
By the time you graduate, you will have a reservoir of suggestions and arguments from friends, family and expert professors. 
At a later stage in your journey, if you look out to make connections, your attempts might be put off, under the misconception that either you want to sell something or to seek a job. 

3.Be Selfish, but not Greedy 
You should be selfish for your time and efforts. Already you are on the verge of maintaining parity between your studies and business idea; you can't afford to waste any bit of it. 

Seek endless advice, but always think for yourself. You would gradually learn the art of dealing with people, both good or bad. 
Managing everything at such an early stage, trains you for the future. The best part this lesson you learn is, it's purely out of your unique journey. It's easier to take risks and challenges in the initial years. 
Sooner you end up adapting to the changes and difficult situations, which makes you a survivor in the long run. After all entrepreneurial life is not a bed of roses. 

4.Be a sport; it's a win-win situation 
Take the challenges, head-on. On your way, you will learn many lessons a hard way and meet man sceptics and idiots. There will be countless times when you will be put-off or would feel like a loser. 
Stay strong and don't regret even if your idea fails. Take it as a first-hand experience of dealing with an entrepreneurial reality which no business book could ever teach you. 
By the time you graduate you would be a pro. Even if you are out of your business, you will still grow it, by thinking and re-thinking on the ideas. 

Every experience whether in your favour or not is worth preparing you about the various facets of the real world out there. Just in case you have second thoughts, let me remind you, there is no bar at the entrepreneurial attempts one can make.
