The mystery: A blind item came out in August 2010 about a showbiz couple that were stuck together during their sexual intercourse and were brought to a well-known hospital. As an answer to the blind item, a rumor said that girl was Shaina Magdayao with her boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.

During their “fun”, Shaina experienced a vaginal captivus, in which her opening closes or ‘locks’. John Lloyd was not able to remove his genital when it happened and they were rushed to St. Luke’s Medical center, while the two were covered with a blanket. The rumor spread even wider when someone from the hospital confirmed the event.

The answer: Of course, the two personalities and their managers denied the rumors. That was a sticky situation.

  1. Julie Vega’s Death

The mystery: Julie Vega was the original lead actress of Anna Liza. But her untimely death has caught the attention of many when rumors about her mysterious death sprouted. It was alleged that Vega’s death was caused by an engkanto or a Spanish spirit. Her filming of “Lovingly Yours, Helen.” in an old house in Mt. Manalmon, Bulacan was believed to be where she got her illness, after she disturbed the spirits residing in the place. Other rumors said that she was kidnapped by the engkanto.

The answer: Vega’s death was caused by multiple illnesses. She was believed to have a multiple sclerosis, bronchopneumonia and she experienced a heart attack that led to her death. Could these be from the engkanto?
