5 Ted Talks That Will Make You Believe In Love Again

This is what enduring love looks like by Stacey Baker and Alec Soth

Photographer Alec Soth was commissioned by Stacey Baker to take portraits of her parents, who were in the twilight of their lives. In this TED Talk, they explain how their interest in stories of how couples met fostered strong friendship between them. In the first half of the talk, they narrate with humour, their attempt to photograph Stacey's participation in world's largest speed dating event. In the second half, they explore some of the touching stories about how couples met from people in a retirement community in Nevada. Between these two extremes, they unwound a beautiful through-line of how a couple goes from meeting to creating a life together.
