Cannes 2017 : Aishwarya Rai vs Sonam Kapoor vs Deepika Padukone : Who won the red carpet?

Three of Bollywood's top actresses stunned everyone at the Cannes Film Festival with their ultra glam looks. From minimal, sleek looks to full blown fairy princess gowns, there was something for everyone.
As you know, the Cannes red carpet is all about glamour and grandeur and these three fashionistas served just that in some of the best couture creations. All eyes were on Deepika Padukone especially as she was making her Cannes debut this year and everyone was eagerly waiting to see what she would wear. Her Marchesa look opened to mixed reviews, but her second look by Brandon Maxwell was loved by one and all.

Everyone played to their strengths and tried to stick to their personal aesthetic and style. While Aishwarya made a big impact on the carpet wearing one of the biggest gowns ever, Deepika's sleek emerald green gown was no less, as both were elegant, sophisticated and memorable. Sonam, on the other hand, was all about the bling in her custom made Haute Couture gowns by designer Elie Saab. Paying attention to detail, she even got custom jewellery made by Kalyan Jewellers, which perfectly complimented her pink gown.
Extra attention was paid to the hair and make up as no look is complete with out the same. While Deepika opted for bold eye make up, Aishwarya packed a punch with her maroon lip, which worked in perfect contrast to her bright red gown. For her gold gown, Sonam opted for a glitter covered smokey eyes.
Here's a quick breakdown on their red carpet looks!

We kickstarted things with Deepika Padukone, who was attending the event for the first time. Her Day 1 look was a tulled gown with an embroidered bodice by Marchesa. In contrast to her glamourous Day 1 look, she kept things minimal in a custom made Brandon Maxwell gown, featuring a one shoulder neckline and a train.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a legit fairy princess in her big gowns. Her blue embroidered Michael Cinco was so dreamy and gorgeous. For her second look, she did a ruffled tiered gown by Ralph and Russo. While the blue gown was magical on her, I wish she had opted something more sleek for her second look.

Sonam Kapoor collaborated with Elie Saab, who made two gorgeous Haute Couture gowns for the actress. While both looks were stunning, we wish the silhouette wasn't this similar.
So whose red carpet look gets your vote?
