Imagine digging a swimming pool of 90 feet long by 70 feet wide all by yourself with just a few tools and help from a few people. What an intimidating job it must be!
Yet, this project didn’t intimidate Jerry Leussink, a man from Alberta, Canada. Rather, he built it with the support of his wife Marina, and the help of his brothers, bearing much inspiration from the pond in the old farm where he grew up in.
Jerry and his wife Marina loves to spend fun quality time with their family and friends, especially on weekends. Now, that the project has been completed—excellently done, their backyard is all set for weekend gatherings.
When it’s full, the deepest end measures 14 feet deep. However, Jerry made sure that there’s a shallow area that allows kids to enjoy swim time safely.
It took 15 people to unroll the pool’s liner and set it up from end to end. To make the area more conducive for relaxing and other outdoor activities, Jerry built a patio for an outdoor sitting by the pool, as well as a dock where guests can walk right up to the pond.
He also prepared additional facilities for outdoor recreation such as the volleyball court. Night time parties are super great as there’s a dance floor ready right in the area.
What an impressive work done out of inspiration and love of precious gatherings with family and friends.
