Workers at a morgue were shocked to see a dead man breathing when his family members came to identify body, according to police in South Africa.
Durban police said that they have launched an investigation after the hospital sent a live person to the morgue.
The incident began on Monday evening, after the man, who was not identified, was involved in an accident while riding his motorcycle.
The crash victim was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead. The body was sent to a morgue, where several family members later came to identify the body.
When workers went to recover the body, they realized that the man had a pulse wand was breathing. He was rushed back to the hospital, where doctors managed to revive him and warm up the body.
Sadly, the man died several hours later.
