Brad and his wife Kerrie of Queensland, Australia, had a baby boy in February 2017. Unfortunately, Brad’s dad was unable to meet his first grandchild due to a cancer diagnosis that kept him from traveling.

However, with the help of his family, Brad was able to surprise the new grandfather. Brad called his father, but what he didn’t know was that Brad was on the front lawn as they chatted.

While one family member recorded, everyone else played it cool until it was time to jump into action to act surprised and follow him outside.

Brad finally decided to reveal that he wasn’t calling his dad from Queensland, but from his front lawn!

“We’re at the front,” Brad says to his father on the phone. His dad whips his head toward the front then immediately runs to the window to see if it’s true.

“Get real,” the new grandfather says while looking through his window. “Don’t lie to me!”

But Brad wasn’t lying — he was indeed out front with Kerrie and their newborn.

The new grandfather hurries outside and embraces his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson in a long overdue hug. Finally, he’s able to hold his grandbaby for the first time, and he quickly kisses him all over!
