Here's why Kareena Kapoor came to Dubai

Kareena Kapoor Khan made a short trip to Dubai this week to attend the show of Pakistani designer Faraz Manan.

The Pakistani designer has a flagship store in Jumeriah and Kareena has modelled for the designer a few times. Held at the One and Only The Palm, Kareena sat next to Sarah Belhasa and her manager Poonam shied away from the cameras.

The designer showed a very ornate collection and perhaps Kareena was his muse as it seemed to have a very "Indian" feel with lehenga skirts and some plunging blouses.

Trains (something we have seen Gaurav Gupta, Anamika Khanna and Manish Malhotra's collections) were de rigeur.

Fringing was another trend we noticed in Manan's collection that is also something that Malhotra, Gupta and Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla have been partial to of late. This was a collection for the brides who want to dazzle.
