Neha Dhupia, more often than not, has earned more flak than praise in the recent past for her sartorial choices. While she has no been giving a lot of reasons for fashion hawkers to be impressed, her latest outing seems to indicate that her fashion misses could have been just a phase. Wearing a midnight-blue anarkali at the Women Achievers’ Awards event in Delhi, Dhupia looked dressed to kill.
In a regal ensemble from the house of Shantanu and Nikhil, the actor looked nothing less than a diva. We especially like the silver embellishments on the hem, collar and sleeves of her outfit that made for a good respite from the monotony of her blue dress.
The actor accessorised her look with a statement ring and a clutch bag from Bottega Veneta. Though we like the bag, we think it was slightly plain for the actor’s rich outfit. Check out the pics here.
With make-up by Kiran Chettri, she opted for a nude palette and smokey eyes, rounding off with a nude lip. We wish she had added a pop of colour on her lip instead to complement the rich hue of the outfit.
Though we liked the actor’s ensemble, we also think she could have styled her hair better instead of knotting it into a simple, no-fuss bun. Hairstylist Karan Rai failed to impress us by keeping it plain Jane for Dhupia.
