Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 11 gets all-time low ratings in the UK

The season premiere of Bigg Boss 11 witnessed a major ratings drop in the UK, and it was all downhill from there.

Despite the star power of returning host Salman Khan, and a record number of contestants, the inaugural episode of Bigg Boss was viewed by only 32,000 people, according to a report on Biz Asia Live.

The viewership further dropped to a mere 8,400 people on day 2, enough to make this season of the controversial reality show the worst-performing in its 11-year run in the UK.

The Big Brother format gained worldwide popularity due to the success of the UK version. But it would seem as if interest in the show’s Indian offshoot is dwindling.

The show began loudly enough - there were constant arguments and disagreement in the first couple of days, followed by the much-dreaded nominations.

According to the report, the most popular Indian shows in the UK are Savitri Devi College and Hospital, Shakti and Udaan.
