She Bought An Old Van… Her Next Move Is All Your Hippy Dreams Come True.

We all want to do it. Grab the dog, pack up the vehicle and just take off. Getting away from life is never a bad thing sometime. Marina Piro took things to a whole new level though. She bought an old van and restored it into a little house on wheels for her and her dog. When she was finished it was a perfect place to be.

While driving the dog has plenty of room in the back to relax, eat or take a nap. You’ll see from the pictures that the dog couldn’t be happier, and you can never argue with a happy dog. It wasn’t an easy thing to accomplish though. Marina put a lot of work into the project.

While she wanted to create something that was nice for both her and her dog to travel in, she also had another goal in mind. She wanted to show people that you don’t have to be a master builder, designer or electrician to do something like this. She’ll be there first to admit that she isn’t very good at a lot of the stuff that was needed to be done, but that didn’t stop her from trying. You’ll see the results from her efforts are pretty amazing.

She turned this simple van into a home on wheels for her and her dog. A little bit of hard work and dedication is all it took.

 

The first thing that needed to be done was everything needed to be stripped out. This allows for a fresh start from scratch.

The floors needed to be leveled off so a real floor could be added. The end result is a very nice touch.

Insulation is a key part to keep the back cool or warm. It adds a layer of comfort to the back floor.
