One of the best ideas to come out of television in the late eighties, the brilliance behind the TGIF lineup was pretty clear. A night in television that had always disappointed since many people go out on Fridays, the plan to air a bunch of family-friendly programming then made a lot of sense. After all, a lot of the people that do stay home on that night of the week are parents or their young children, so providing content they can all enjoy together is a great move. The home of a lot of beloved programming, the series that made up this block over the years also featured a lot of talented young people that would end up becoming very attractive. Realizing that is what inspired us to put together this list of twenty stars that prove the TGIF lineup was filled with future hotties.
In order for someone to be up for possible inclusion on this list, he/she first and foremost needs to have been a main cast member of a show that was a part of ABC’s TGIF lineup when it was airing. It doesn’t matter which iteration of that block of programming we are looking at as it was a part of television on separate occasions over the years. Furthermore, someone doesn’t need to have been considered the lead of any of the series that aired in the block as long as he/she was at least considered a regular. Aside from that, we looked at the way that celeb looked when he/she was on the show in question and decided if he/she had what it took to be a future hottie or, in some cases, if she did become one.
10. Krista Marie Yu – Dr. Ken
A show that many saw as somewhat doomed from the moment it was announced, Dr. Ken aired from 2015 until 2017 as a part of the third iteration of TGIF. Starring Ken Jeong, a comedic actor that was known for his outrageous behavior in movies like The Hangover trilogy or the show Community, he didn’t seem like a good choice to anchor a series. However, he was able to scale back his over-the-top antics enough that the series lasted two seasons which gave fans an opportunity to become aware of the talents that Krista Marie Yu has. Seen here at an ABC red carpet event, this shot shows why we think that she will go on to be one of the best-looking actors around as she already has an impressive figure and a pretty face.
9. Elisha Cuthbert – Happy Endings
The type of beautiful blonde woman that the powers that be in Hollywood and casting agents salivate over, we don’t expect Elisha Cuthbert to go long without a notable job anytime soon. First becoming a star when she was cast as the daughter of 24’s Jack Bauer, since then, she has also appeared in shows like The Ranch as well as movies including The Girl Next Door and House of Wax. Of course, she owes her place on this list to playing the female lead in the hilarious sitcom Happy Endings for three years, which was too short of a run for a series that was as funny as it was. Only thirty-five years old today despite how long she has been a star for at this point, she was pretty when her career started but she is now one of the most divine-looking women in the world.
