These Traffic Signs Are Using Taylor Swift Lyrics To Prevent Distracted Driving

So, if the Iowa DOT is trying to get millennials to engage in their message about safe driving — rather than having them completely gloss over the sign — then a funny twist on a Taylor Swift lyric might be the route (another pun, a gift from me to you) to take.

This isn't the first time that the Iowa DOT has used song lyrics in their traffic signs.

Now, you're unfamiliar with these lyrics, that's OK. They're more likely something your parents would know.

They come from "Beth" by KISS, a song which came out back in 1976.

You'll probably understand this reference, though.

We get it — you gotta catch 'em all. But Pokémon Go is not worth risking your life over.

Seems like obvious advice, but in the strange reality that is 2017, it needs to be said.
