A man in Kansas died a horrifying death 6 months ago, and the doctor couldn`t give any explainable reason for this. However, it turns out that his death was caused by a new lethal virus which is transmitted through ticks and is quickly spreading around the U.S.
It is commonly known that viruses cannot be treated with antibiotics, and this makes the situation even worse. This kind of virus has never been seen in the Western part of the earth before. It has similar genome to that of some diseases found in Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia, according to the infectious disease experts.
The disease was named Bourbon virus, because the man who died lived in Bourbon Country, Kansas. Researchers are studying intensively to determine what in the genome led to anorexia, immensely high fever, unbearable muscle pain, and eventually death.
