The combination of safety and convenience has caused a huge success for both companies who are now neck and neck in the Philippine transportation industry, particularly in Metro Manila.
Marilou Olegario, posted on Facebook about how much she uses the apps because of their convenience and the sleek cars that the drivers use.
She seems to have been enjoying the apps, however, little did she know that her neighbours have been observing her and saw how often different cars would take her home every night. They assumed she was promiscuous and spread rumors about her.
She was mad at her gossiping neighbors, but decided to make fun of the situation by posting about it on Facebook.
The post was not slow to gather clicks, as it reached over 26,000 likes and was shared over a thousand times on Facebook.
People on social media were amused by her story and found it relatable.
