Giving birth is a dangerous yet most satisfying medical procedure any woman has to experience. Yes it is painful and just like what the old folks say, when a woman give birth, half of her life is off the grave because of the major pain it will cause. But most mothers would say that all the pain is worth it when your little bundle of joy is already born.
Recently, actress Kylie Padilla’s choice of birth method received a lot of applause from netizens. When she was still pregnant, Kylie has been very honest with the method she wanted to have when she finally gave birth.
In her interview with Smart Parenting last July, Kylie revealed that she was really planning to give birth naturally through water birth. She explained, “So you know how there’s a pool in the middle of the room, and then pag lalabas na talaga, pasok ka dun sa pool and then dun mo sya ilalabas.”
Kylie added that she wanted to feel all the pain in this stage of motherhood, “And what really attracted me to this type of birthing was, sabi nung doula dun sa interview, that’s the beauty of the whole natural process, is sobrang sakit na nung naramdaman mo, but when you see the kid, and ikaw na yung sumalo sa ulo, sobrang high,” she said.
“Iba daw yung naramdaman ng mother towards the kid, so I said I want to feel that,” Kylie added.
Last August 4, 2017, Kylie’s plan pushed through as she gave birth to her and actor Aljur Abrenica’s first baby boy named Alas Joaquin.
Aljur shared that Kylie has been on labor since August 2 and was accompanied by the whole family in the hospital.
“Halo-halong emosyon. Sa totoo lang nagsimula kasi ‘yan na nagkaroon ng matinding kontraksyon,laboring si Kylie kahapon first taping day ko. So ngayon nasa labor siya kasama niya po ‘yung nanay ko, ‘yung kapatid ko at sino man ang makakatulong sa kanya,” Aljur said during the press conference of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” where he is one of the newest cast members.
