We all seem to be living our lives with blinkers on. Our thinking is almost automated. For instance, from taking the same route to work every day to talking to the same set of people day in and out, we all have our routines set. And what happens often is since we have been thinking and behaving in a particular way for so long, we forget that our minds are strong creative powerhouses we can use to create what we want in our lives.
Well, it is time you broke this pattern thinking as this is the only way you can be a better and happier person. The best way to do this is by trying out something new every day. It could be something as simple as taking a different route to work or talking to a stranger. Trying out new things has the many benefits.
You will be able to step out of your comfort zone with ease
When you keep doing new things every day, getting out of the comfort zone when you have to becomes easy. If you wake up at the same time every day, go to work, come back, run errands and hit the bed, the same time, you will not be able to overcome the fear of change. You can't step out of your comfort zone when life puts you in a difficult situation. That doesn't mean you live without any discipline. A little bit of tweak here and there is important.
You will attract more friends
Nobody likes to talk to a stick-in-the-mud. If you are engrossed in your routine, you will have nothing interesting to share with others. Experiences make you appealing. People love to hear you not when you flaunt your knowledge, but when you narrate fascinating experiences. Most successful people would have stories to tell for future generations to come.
You will gain confidence
The best way to overcome fear is to face it. When you explore unfamiliar territories and come out of it successfully, your confidence will be unbeatable. Even when you don't accomplish it well, you will feel happy and confident that you tried.
You will be more creative
As Albert Einstein said, insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results. You cannot come up with newer ideas or see better results if you don't explore. And to do that you have to self-challenge constantly.
