3.6 kg drugs seized from Asian expat

An Asian expatriate was arrested at T1 terminal of Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle 3.6 kilograms of marijuana into the country, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

A member of the Customs Media Committee Nawaf Al-Matar explained that one of the customs inspectors suspected the Asian passenger who arrived at the airport and checked his bag to find some strange items as well as around 3.6 kilograms of marijuana.

The suspect was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Director of Air Customs Department Mutlaq Al-Enezi affirmed that the airport customs officers are aware of the various methods used to smuggle illicit items into the country.
