4 men sexually assault, murder expat in UAE

The accused men offered the victim a ride home.

The Court of Appeal in Fujairah postponed the verdict in the murder case of an Arab man who was killed by four Gulf nationals, after being abducted and sexually assaulted.

There was no prior relationship between the victim and the accusers, Emarat Al Youm reported.

The murder took place after the first defendant lured the victim and offered him a ride home from Fujairah Umbrella Beach .

The four defendants took the victim to a farm in Kalba, Sharjah. They reportedly sexually assaulted the victim while they were under the influence of drugs. When the victim tried to escape they allegedly detained and locked him in the trunk of the vehicle belonging to the first defendant.

Half an hour later, a security guard of a building, where the car was parked heard the victim's screams and then alerted the central operations room to rescue the detainee.

The police were able to rescue the victim who was suffering from acute suffocation. He was rushed to Fujairah Hospital but died a few hours later.

The first defendant appealed at the hearing noting that there is no concrete evidence that he had carried out the murder without the other defendants' help.
