According to security sources about 4,500 expatriates, Arabs and Asians have been deported from the country since the beginning of 2019, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily added, all those deported were residence and labor law violators and those involved in petty crimes. The sources pointed out, unlike before, the deportation of violators of laws is quick. On the other hand, a source told the daily according to the directives and instructions of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lt Gen Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah and Undersecretary General Issam Al- Nham no one should be deported arbitrarily or illegally.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General for Investigation of Residence has issued warrant of search and arrest against 800, mostly of Arab workers, who entered the country on fictitious companies. In this regard, the authorities have arrested two Kuwaitis and charged them with visa trading. 

Meanwhile, the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police during a security check in the area have arrested two men – an Egyptian and a Syrian – who were wanted by law for failing to pay debt, reports Al-Rai daily. The Egyptian, born in 1962, was arrested behind a public park. He was wanted for failing to pay KD 425 while the Syrian was sentenced in absentia for not paying KD 287.
