MOI announced that e-driving licenses for citizens will be issued from first week of May, where as for expats online issuing of e-driving license will start by the end of the year.
Only those expats who have unpaid fines, or change in profession, students who have completed their studies, housewives who have taken up jobs, expats exceeding age of 65 and those expats who have left the country their license renewal process will be locked.
The applicants will have to log into MOI website to submit their information with correct mobile phone number where on submitting information an automated sms message will be received on registered mobile number. E Driving licenses can be collected from automated machines in various governorates.
