Expat allegedly shot by Iranians

An Indian man who was allegedly shot by Iranians of Kubbar Island was rushed to the Adan Hospital and doctors operated on him to extract the bullet which had lodged in his pelvis, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the 52-year-old Indian was in the company of two other people on a fishing trip on the Kubbar Island when they were surprised by an Iranian patrolman who asked them stop, but they did not comply and continued their voyage.

At this point the Iranian fired at their boat and the bullet penetrated through the cabin and hit the Indian. The Iranian then forced the trio to stop, robbed their possessions including money and personal documents and escaped.
