MoI fully prepared to ensure a safe & secure Eid Al Fitr

All the security and service departments of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) have completed their preparations to ensure a safe and secure Eid Al Fitr festival for the people of Qatar.

Lt Col Jaber Mohammed Adeeba, Assistant Director of Traffic Awareness Department, said the department was fully prepared for Eid. 

He said the department will ensure permanent presence of traffic patrols in all areas of the country to prevent accidents. “There will be patrols in front of mosques and the streets leading to it to control the traffic flow. Traffic patrols will also be located on the streets leading to shopping malls and public parks to ensure safety and security for all,” he said.

Colonel Hassan al Kuwari, Director of the Central Operations Department, said the department operates 24 hours a day to ensure safety of people during celebrations. 

He said the administration provides humanitarian services to the public in addition to its basic functions such as answering queries or any information that serves the public, such as contacting hospitals or ambulances to transport a patient if required, and other useful and important information.

He said the employee of the department works in four shifts.

The security departments of the Ministry of Interior continue working around the clock to ensure safety and security of all. The department responds quickly to the complaints of citizens and residents to prevent crimes. 

 

All the police stations are working around the clock to ensure safety and security for all. There are round-the-clock patrols aimed at facilitating traffic, especially near mosques and places of celebrations. 

Maj. Gen. Nayef bin Faleh al Thani, Director of Al-Fazza, said the administration is fully prepared for Eid festivities. He said the department has increased the number of patrols throughout the country. “In order to ensure a joyous holiday, there are patrols to prevent any incidents that harm public tranquility. The patrols also take part in the celebrations held by the Ministry of the Interior for the Asian communities to ensure security,” he said.

There will also be patrols near public parks and markets to enhance security, he said.

He also called on everyone not to hesitate to ask for assistance from patrols, stressing the readiness to provide humanitarian assistance at any time.

The Director General of the Airport Security Department, Mohamed Rashid al Mazrouei, said the department is fully prepared. He said the department provides security services round- the - clock at Hamad International Airport. 

Brigadier Issa Arar al Rumaihi, Director of Airport Security Department, said the administration will intensify security patrols inside and outside the airport during Eid.
He called on travellers to abide by the rules and regulations of Hamad International Airport.
