Over 3,000 people to get UAE citizenship ahead of Eid Al Fitr

Authority sets schedule to deliver documents.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has announced that it has completed all necessary procedures regarding granting of UAE citizenship to 3,354 children of Emirati mothers.

Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the ICA, expressed his thanks and gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his directives to complete all procedures related to granting of citizenship to them.

He added that the announcement, ahead of Eid Al Fitr, brought joy in the lives of many people in the UAE, and praised Sheikh Khalifa's initiatives to bring joy to the sons and daughters of the country.

 

The ICA has set a schedule to complete all the steps related to delivering the citizenship documents that will be announced soon - so that they can exercise their lives as citizens of the UAE and benefit from initiatives, projects and services..

According to the ICA all 3,354 applications received were reviewed and met citizenship requirements and conditions, in accordance with legal provisions and in coordination with the concerned authorities.
