Qatar opens first visa centre in India

Qatar opened its first Qatar Visa Centre (QVC) in India on Wednesday in the capital city of New Delhi, in the presence of a number of officials from both the countries.

Six more QVCs will be opened in India in the coming period in the cities of Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.

Qatar had earlier opened QVCs in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan as part of its ‘Qatar Visa Centers abroad’ programme.

QVCs will simplify and accelerate work visa procedures for those coming to Qatar from these countries by enabling them to complete fingerprint and biometric data processing, medical checkup, and employment contract signing in their home countries.
