RAK Ruler pardons 306 prisoners ahead of Ramadan

The released inmates have been sentenced to final verdicts by the Ras Al Khaimah Courts.

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the release of 306 prisoners from the penal and correctional institutions in Ras Al Khaimah, on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The released inmates have been sentenced to final verdicts by the Ras Al Khaimah Courts.

 

Hassan Saeed Mhimed, Attorney-General of the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, said that His Highness pardoned some of the convicts in the context of His Highness's keenness to grant the pardons an opportunity to start a new life and ease the suffering of their families.

He thanked Sheikh Saud for his high command which brought joy and happiness to the prisoners' families and for his continuous efforts to follow-up on the public prosecution and judiciary's work.
