Today is officially the last day of winter in Oman

Thursday, March 21, will be the first day of spring season with the occurrence of the spring equinox, the Public Authority of Civil Aviation confirmed.

Zahir Al Hinai, a weather specialist said: "Today, the Sultanate will witness the phenomenon of the spring equinox, which will occur after the middle of this night."

"Today we will leave the last days of winter to enter the transitional period (spring) after 1:58 a.m., so that the hours of day and night will be equal." He added, "After that the day hours will increase gradually."
