Filipina Lorina Bunio took home the UAE's best nanny award - the first award of its kind during the awards ceremony held at Taj Dubai on November 19, Friday.
Bunio, 29 received the award because she became a 'little sister' to her single mum employer going above and beyond her duty as nanny. She is currently taking care of the children of her employer Sharene Ann aged four and one.
She won an amount of Dh5,000 which she said she will use to help set up a family business back in her home country the Philippines.
The first runner up was Dana Acuriza who rescued her employer's son after he accidentally fell in a swimming pool.
