Check which 35 category jobs Filipino not allowed in Saudi Arabia now
Overseas Filipino people (OFWs) in Saudi Arabia will be unable to renew their house allow if they work in any of 35 job categories affected.
Among these affected are Filipino human aid professionals, pharmacists and safety guards, in accordance to GMA News Online.
Applicants expecting lets in for the stated positions will also be affected.
Earlier this year, Saudi Minister of Labor and Social Development Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi issued a decree to restrict work in forty one things to do in Madinah to Saudi nationals.
More than 300,000 Filipinos working in Saudi Arabia are expected to be affected with the aid of the new rule. The Philippine Department of Labour and Employment has provided affected OFWs with economic and livelihood assistance.
Philipino Expatriates are banned from working in these sectors or jobs:

Optical stores
Medical tools stores
Electrical shops
Electronics shops
Car spare phase outlets
Building fabric shops
Outlets promoting all sorts of carpets
Car shops
Mobile shops
Home furniture shops
Office furnishings shops
Ready-made garment shops
Sale retailers of garments
Children garments shops
Men’s resources shops
Household utensils shops
Pastry shops
Closed markets
Commercial centres
Malls
Non-government organisations
Hospitality and Tourism sector, including:
Light-vehicle driver
Order taker
Safety and safety officer
Food service employee
Telephone operator
Data-entry clerk
Administrative clerk
Secretary
