OFW life is not easy. Aside from the difficult job that requires both physical and mental skill and the long hours, you still have to endure home sickness and constantly missing your family. With all this strain, you still have to regularly check and update your papers, passport and requirements so as not to create conflict with your employment.
That is why many netizens were angered by this post which went extremely viral yesterday. The post was about the Philippine embassy in Saudi that refused to serve Filipinos just because they don't have an online appointment for renewal of passport. A certain Akrima Maguid shared that they had to endure an 8-hour travel and was asked to wait for 4 hours. Even when the woman in charge finished early and could still accommodate more OFWs, she refused to do so and insisted they complete the online appointment which most of them did not know how to access.
As of this writing, the post already garnered 35K reactions, and over 100k shares; mostly angering netizens.
