Dhofar Celebrates 350 Outstanding Educational Achievers

The Dhofar Directorate General of Education celebrated over 350 outstanding students today. Officials hosted the grand ceremony at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex in Salalah.

Dr. Intisar bint Abdullah Al-Ambusaidi proudly sponsored this special educational event. She currently serves as the Undersecretary for Educational Support Programs.

The Power of Student Activities

Director General Dr. Maizon bint Bakhit Al-Shahri delivered an inspiring speech. She emphasized how student activities build strong character and develop crucial skills.

These fun programs balance academic knowledge with practical skills perfectly. They also refine hidden talents and support student creativity and innovation.

Spotlighting Top Student Achievers

The massive ceremony honored exceptional male and female students from 2025 competitions. Student Abrar bint Mohammed Al-Yafai won first place across all of Oman. She dominated the International Letter Writing Competition for Tawi Atir School.

Tartil bint Mohammed Al-Rawas took second place nationally in short stories. She proudly represented the Umm Salim Al-Ansariyah School today.

Turki bin Tariq Beit Rajab won the best heritage melody award. He amazed judges during the exciting National Student Chanting Competition. The Dhofar Governorate innovator team also secured third place nationally.

Artistic Performances and Rich Heritage

Talented students presented several beautiful artistic segments during the celebration. The Oriental Ensemble performed musical pieces titled My Memories and Storyteller.

One student performed a stunning solo song called Land of Frankincense. Organizers played a visual presentation highlighting the amazing student achievements. A lively heritage segment also celebrated rich local cultural traditions.

Diverse Fields of Recognition

Officials thanked the dedicated supervisors and activity committee members today. The diverse awards covered group chanting, school theater, and musical performances. Judges also recognized amazing poetry, novels, drawing, and classical Arabic oratory.

Students won exciting international contests like Bahrain's Children's Art competition. Others conquered the Visual Vision and National Reading Festival events. This wonderful event proves Dhofar's total commitment to student creativity and excellence.
