Oman's Sultan Qaboos pardons 274 prisoners

His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said has issued a royal pardon to 274 prisoners who were convicted for a number of cases.

The Royal Pardon coincides with Renaissance Day on 23 July, and 115 prisoners out of the 274 were expats..

In a statement online Royal Oman Police said, “His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said's royal pardon coincides with the blessed Renaissance Day on JUly 23, and in consideration of their [the prisoners'] families."
