225 Covid-19 cases reported in Qatar on Sept 25

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 225 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 249people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 121,512

Out of the 225 new cases, 216 are community cases and 9 from travellers returning from abroad.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 124,650 and there are 2926 active cases under treatment. So far, 212 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 5974  tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 751,104 tests. There are 39 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 441.

Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 63

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing.

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.

- Wearing a face mask.

- Washing hands regularly
