Impact of GCC crisis not limited to five countries, says Turkey FM

Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu said yesterday that the impact of the GCC crisis was not limited to the five countries concerned, but affects and disturbs the Arab and Islamic countries as well.

This came in a speech by the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Forum for Arab Journalists in Istanbul, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported yesterday. He discussed the position of his country on some of the current Arab issues.

He praised the great efforts made by the Amir of Kuwait, H H  Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah to resolve the Gulf crisis, pointing out to the great role played by Kuwait to bring peace and stability in the region.

He called for resolving crises through consultation between all parties involved, pointing out mistakes made against the backdrop of the Gulf crisis, which has now passed nearly a year  such as applying pressure on other countries to force them to take a certain position, putting them in a difficult situation.
