Jail, deportation for stealing Nojoom points

A Doha Criminal Court has sentenced an Indian driver to one year in jail and subsequent deportation for stealing the Nojoom points of his employer.

Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported on Sunday that the man stole Nojoom points worth more than QR10,000 from the manager of the company, where he used to work as a driver.
The employer used to trust the defendant due to his decade-long history at the company, so he entrusted him with his account details. The driver also used to speak Arabic, so he managed to transfer the points to his own account using the ID number of his employer. Then, he used the points for his own benefit.
The issue was reported to the police and though the defendant admitted his guilt, he denied the confession in the court.
