A Filipino migrant worker who was terminated from work was shot dead after allegedly killing his manager and co-worker in Farasan Island, Saudi Arabia, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Wednesday.

The DFA, in a statement, said the unnamed Filipino allegedly stabbed his Pakistani co-worker and Saudi manager, and wounded several others Wednesday afternoon.

According to Consul General Edgar Badajos, the Filipino allegedly stabbed his co-worker after an argument.

A Filipino migrant worker was shot dead after killing his manager and co-worker in Saudi Arabia, Wednesday.

He then attacked the manager and several other co-workers when they tried to intervene.

Security personnel of the company, a subcontractor of the Saudi Electric Co., immediately responded and shot the Filipino.

"He was dead on the spot," Badajos told radio DZMM.

A team from the Philippine consulate has been dispatched to Jizan, located more than 600 kilometers from Jeddah, to gather more information about the incident.

The DFA withheld the identity of the Filipino pending notification of his family. -
