Saudi beat the Philippines' record for their 2016 New Year celebrations

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia accomplished its Guiness World Record this year for the biggest presentation of  fireworks ever accomplished around the world.

The record-breaking is an aftereffect of the National Day celebrations, in which the Kingdom set off 900,000  fireworks, simultaneously around the country.

The General Entertainment Authority had embarked to accomplish the record, as reported days before the very commended 88th National Day.

Saudi beat the Philippines' record for their 2016 New Year celebrations

Philippines set the record two years ago with 810,904 fireworks but it only lasted one hour due to the rain.

Saudi also entered the Guinness for the largest national flag

According to the Gulf Daily News, the Kingdom set out to have the largest flag in the world- that measured 400 metres by 350 metres, in the air and used lasers on 300 drones to trace its emblems.
