This multiple Tony award-winning musical, arrives on the Dubai Opera stage, just in time for Valentine's day.
The curtains will rise for you to immerse yourself in the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet, set in Upper West Side, New York City and centered around the animosity between the two rival gangs; the Jets and the Sharks. They would rather fight to the death than get along.
Arthur Laurents’ original novel was adapted into a Broadway musical and later, an Academy Award-winning film, which includes Leonard Bernstein’s classic score and Stephen Sondheim’s lyrics “I Feel Pretty”, “America”, “Maria”, “Tonight” and many more.
The impressive cast of 36 performers and 80 participants, set to Jerome Robbins’ original choreography and supported by Joey McKneely’s award-winning staging will inspire you with its message and for its equally inspiring artistry.
