Abu Dhabi Pours Billions Into an Elitist Vanity Project

The ruling class burns money on massive cultural vanity projects. Abu Dhabi just started building a giant performing arts center. They call this massive concrete monstrosity the House of the Arts. They hired a famous celebrity architect to design the elite venue. Frank Gehry drew the plans for this incredibly expensive cultural fortress. The state wants to attract wealthy tourists and global elites. They plan to host operas, ballets, and jazz performances for the rich. The venue holds over six thousand heavily cushioned seats across multiple halls. They build open-air amphitheaters on the highly exclusive Saadiyat Island.

Gentrifying the Culture

Bureaucrats claim this project will boost local economic growth tremendously. In reality, it simply gentrifies the island and excludes the working class. The government pours billions into luxury entertainment while ignoring basic social needs.

Entertainment for the Elite

The elite sip champagne and watch ballet while the world literally burns. Culture becomes a sterile, expensive product exclusively for the ultra-wealthy. True art comes from the streets, not from billion-dollar state-funded fortresses.

The elite hoard the culture while the working class bleeds. Unmask their massive vanity projects at The WAU today.
