Dubai Abattoirs Process Over 11,000 Sacrificial Animals

Dubai municipal abattoirs processed thousands of sacrificial animals recently. Workers managed over 11,000 sacrifices during the first two days of Eid Al Adha. Authorities ramped up operations to maintain strict safety standards.

Leading Facilities Manage the Rush

Al Qusais Abattoir recorded the highest volume this season. Staff processed 5,014 animals over the busy two day period. The Fast Abattoir handled 2,090 sacrifices on the first day alone.

The municipal abattoirs boast a massive combined processing capacity. The advanced facilities can process one thousand animals every single hour.

Ensuring Food Safety and Animal Welfare

Qualified butchers and veterinary teams executed rigorous health inspections. They verified the suitability of all meat for human consumption. The teams checked the animals carefully before and after slaughter.

Residents also utilized smart digital applications for safe home deliveries. This digital service prevents dangerous crowding at the physical slaughterhouses. Ras Al Khaimah Municipality reported similar success using a smart digital notification system.
