Dubai Motorists Face Heavy Traffic Delays Across Major Morning Routes

Congestion Builds Near Sharjah Border

Motorists heading to work on Friday morning face significant travel delays. Severe congestion currently impacts several key routes linking Dubai and Sharjah. Al Ittihad Road remains one of the most congested stretches today. Drivers experience slow-moving traffic from Al Nahda toward the Sahara Centre. The bottleneck heavily affects vehicles waiting near the main Sharjah border. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road also shows substantial delays this morning. Traffic builds steadily between Muhaisnah and Al Qusais during the rush hour. Drivers heading toward Industrial Area 15 face particularly slow travel times.

Inner City Roads Slow Down

Inside Sharjah, local roads around Al Khan and Al Taawun move slowly. Commuters near the Waterfront Market and Al Mamzar also report heavy traffic. Slow-moving traffic stretches all the way toward Business Bay and Ras Al Khor. Motorists should expect delays near the Jumeirah Village Circle highway interchange.

Alternative Routes Offer Relief

Further south, vehicles slow down near Dubai Production City and Motor City. Internal community roads around Discovery Gardens also report heavy morning use. Stretches near Nad Al Sheba move slowly as residents begin their day. Fortunately, some alternative routes offer much better travel times this morning. Sheikh Zayed Road through Al Safa and Umm Suqeim flows quite well. Most sections of the Dubai-Al Ain Road also remain largely clear today.
