A lucky Filipina took home Dhs1 million after winning the grand prize of the Al Ansari Exchange Summer Promo 2018, held at Metropolitan Hotel in Dubai, August 28, 2018.

The life of Gina Realuyo Soriano and her family will forever change after her name was drawn. She has been working as a domestic helper in the UAE for 10 years now.

The OFW said that she will use the money she has won to put up a business in the Philippines, as well as to pay for the education of her family.

Eight winners went home with Dhs10,000 cash each, including another OFW named Honesto Corpuz.

This marks a back-to-back win for Filipinos in the UAE after Al Dizon Banzil, civil engineer working as a quality surveyor in a Sharjah construction company, won the same grand prize last year.

Nevertheless, despite winning a huge sum of money, Soriano promised not to leave her employers in the UAE.

“Congratulations to Gina. She is the second Filipino millionaire of the Al Ansari Exchange Promo 2018. But she also set the record for being the first female millionaire of Al Ansari Exchange,” Rashed Ali Al Ansari, General Manager of Al Ansari Exchange told The Filipino Times.
